He Biar Castle <\/strong>It is one of the most representative monuments in the interior of the province of Alicante. Located on a hill at an altitude of 750 meters, it dominates the charming town of Biar, in the heart of the Alto Vinalop\u00f3 region. Its silhouette stands out against the horizon, reminding us of its defensive importance in times past.<\/p>\n

Of origin Almohad Muslim,<\/strong> This fortress was built in the mid-12th century. In 1245, after a five-month siege, it was conquered by James I the Conqueror, who incorporated it into the Kingdom of Valencia. Since then, it has witnessed centuries of history.<\/p>\n

In recognition of its heritage value, the Biar Castle in Alicante<\/strong> was declared National monument<\/strong> on June 4, 1931. In addition, recently has been turned into a museum<\/strong>, offering a new way to enjoy your visit.
